John Michael Osbourne (born in Birmingham, England on December 3, 1948) is a singer, musician and songwriter with a career spanning more than forty years of activity. In the beginning, was part of the original members of the prestigious and influential heavy metal band Black Sabbath which is credited with being the creator of this genre, the late 60s and early 70s, then start a solo career in the early '80s, making big hits and revolutionizing the genre again. It is known as The Madman (The Fool), The Godfather of Heavy Metal (The godfather of heavy metal) and The Prince of Darkness (The prince of darkness). He has been certified by the RIAA multiplatinum sales of several of his solo albums. At the turn of the century has also gained a wide media coverage, especially for his appearance on the reality show broadcast by MTV The Osbournes, based on the daily life of its controversial family.
